Inner ends won't stay attached

Postby Roo » Sun Dec 16, 2007 11:17 am

I wore strip eyelashes (ModLash strip) for a party last night. I had practiced quite a bit before I wore them in public, and they looked great but I've noticed a problem. (I wear glasses so I think it was pretty well camouflaged). The inner end of the strip will not adhere close to my lashline. It seems to stick up just a little. Any suggestions? I've tried more adhesive on the ends but that doesn't seem to help. Thanks for any ideas.

I have the same problem with my #110 lashes. I put them on the other night, however, about 2 hours later the inner edge came undone. Someone told me to cut the lash band shorter on the inner edge and it seemed to help but the band still came off. Help anyone?

Before applying my false eyelashes, I trim them on the outside corner so they are the proper length for my eye. Then, using my thumbnail, I gently add a little more curve to the inner and outside ends of the strip. I do this by "crimping" it with my thumbnail. I never put adhesive along the entire length of the strip when I begin. I apply a thin line of adhesive to 1/2 of the strip in the center, leaving both ends without adhesive, and apply the strip to my eye. After the adhesive has dried, I use a toothpick to apply a small amount of adhesive to the exact spot on my lashline that I want the inner corner of the strip to adhere. After that dries, I repeat the same to the outside corner. Voila! Perfect application that does not come off!!! It takes a little more time, but the results are far superior to trying to do it all at once. javascript:emoticon('\\:D/')
