I cant figure out what I'm doing wrong: the 1st time I wear a pair of lashes they look great. but I cant remove th glue without damaging them, & im very dexterous. I've used eyemakeup remover, oil , plain water & just peeled th glue off, but no mattr what, i damage the structure of th lash. What do I need to change?

Hi Maggie,

The problem you are describing often happens when you apply too much eyelash adhesive to begin with. Here is how the strip lash si supposed to be applied:

Try putting on a THIN strip of glue on the lash strip and, using your tweezers, place the strip a little higher on your eyelid and then drag it down to the lash line, start with one corner and straighten it out. You can remove the excess glue on your eyelid with a cotton swab, then take the toothpick and dab some glue on it and run it on the top of the strip to fill in any missing glue areas and then use another cotton swab to remove the excess again.


As long as you apply the eyelash glue sparingly (on lash strip only, avoid lashes), you should not experience too much problem peeling the glue off.

I have found that too thin a adhesive makes them come off. I usually have a few steps that work well for me. I put a dab of glue on a paper towel. I let it set for 5 minutes before applying. It starts to get a little tackier and usually goes on and sticks quick. I use a q-tip to dab the glue onto the lash. (First twist the q-tip around in your hand to make cotton on it tight or these small strands of cotton get stuck to lashes)Curl your own lashes after you apply mascara. Then start this process. Also curl after they dry a few minutes after application.

It is best to remove glue as soon as you take them off. The glue is still warm from body temp. Hold your fingers over lash and then remove adhesive. If they set the glue gets harder and destroys lash.

I am afraid there isn't much else. Some always come undone and then I have some that last forever. It depends on whe they were manufactured and how well. Hope this helps! I get compliments always about my eye makeup!![/b]
