never take off

Postby freedom » Fri Oct 24, 2003 8:14 am

Hi..I wear them daily and don't take them off until they are "beyond" use. The biggest problem I have is that the glue doesn't stick long enough (duo-black or white/clear{seems to go a little longer)) but over the last year or more I have found the glue in the stores seems to be really old or something and comes off faster than it used to. In the past I could wear a set for a week and barely have to worry about it..now I am lucky if it lasts a day...any suggestions??? and yes I have a technique for keeping them in shape..daily.

Well...I always suggest people to take of the lashes daily. If you feel that the glue at the stores are old and don't last as long...I am not sure why that is. Duo clear and black does provide better hold but we currently only carry Duo Surgical Adhesive. We get ours straight from the distributors and we don't keep many in stock so our adhesives are always "new." I wish I could offer some additional advice, maybe you can try the ardell lashtite adhesive; it's a bit stiffer than duo but it has a good hold. Hope this helps :D If you could share your tips on cleaning the lashes and making them last longer I'm sure the community will appreciate it. Thanks again to everyone for putting in the time to ask questions!!

i have been using false eyelashes for over 20 years - i am from Australia and i am so grateful to have found your site - it is only in the last few months your lashes and adhesive has been available to me in stores - so you can imagine my joy at finding your site - i only remove my lashes once a week - care is a good careful scrub with a nail brush in the direction of the lash away from the band - you then take the lash and shape onto a tissue and allow to dry (doesn't take very long) and then re use - as you can imagine i am so pleased i will be able to purchase from you direct now - i only have one problem with lashes and this is lately say the last year or so the adhesive available tends to go sticky - in the past once the lashes were fixed the glue would peel of the lashes very easily and you could re use without having to go to the extent of a full wash proceedure but now it tends to go sticky (it also leaves residue on your eyelid) - any suggestions - have the adhesive formulas been changed from the good old days ( i have been using duo clear white that i purchased on the net)

a,
that's another great tip like the one freedom brought up ( viewtopic.php?t=21 ). I personally do not use DUO clear but I prefer the Duo SURGICAL Adhesives. I don't know if there is a difference between the two but when I use the surgical adhesive i find the glue very easy to peel off the lashstrip and it does not leave residue on my eyelid. We will be carrying DUO clear and dark later this month (January). However, you might want to try the Surgical adhesive to see if that's like the one you used to use.
